The first project I did for my Digital Imaging II class at HVCC was a project where I scanned a couple of images (an image of the Pillars of Creation and a contour map of my hometown of Wynantskill, NY) and deconstructed them digitally. For the Wynantskill scan I separated each elevation into its own layer and gave each a drop shadow. I then printed this image out multiple times and created a 3D map by cutting, stacking, and gluing a bunch of foam boards together.
